Man Playing Basketball Shot to Death in Dispute

A basketball game turned deadly Sunday morning when a 22-year-old man was fatally shot during a dispute at a recreation center in the Chesterfield Square area, authorities said.
Dwayne Trotter was killed about 11:20 a.m. at Van Ness Recreation Center on 2nd Avenue, said Officer Don Cox, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department.
The gunman, who fled after the shooting, remains at large, Cox said.
