An 82-year-old Seal Beach man was struck by a car and killed Wednesday morning as he crossed the street, authorities said.
According to police, Thomas Ford rode the bus to Orange to visit his wife, who lives in a nearby nursing home. Ford tried to cross the 1900 block of La Veta Avenue, a four-lane street, and was struck by a sedan driven by a 74-year-old Santa Ana man, police said.
No charges have been filed in the accident.
