For Fisher, Designing Seems to Be a Real Snap

The topic was intriguing: Derek Fisher’s bra is for sale.

Sure, that makes sense. Isn’t he part of the Laker supporting cast?

Before the folks from Victoria’s Secret give him a call, a bit of explanation might help. Fisher, in a classy gesture, has designed a bra, which will have the Lakers’ colors, his No. 2 and his signature. The bra will be up for auction April 1-14 on www.sothebys.com.

The proceeds will help raise money for breast cancer, and more than 50 celebrities have joined Fisher in designing bras for the effort.

Maybe there’s a new rivalry in town. Frederick’s of Hollywood vs. Derek’s of Staples.

He shoots, he scores: Speaking of auctions ...

King supporters and other hockey fans will be interested to learn of another online auction. Word has it that a spirited contest is going on for a Marcel Dionne rookie card. By Thursday night, bidding for the 1971-72 rookie card had gone over the $1,500 mark. This auction, at www.andymadecauctions.com, concludes today at 7 p.m. PST.
