BOYS’ BASKETBALL
* Mike Danielian, Van Nuys Grant: The 6-foot-2 senior guard scored a school-record 58 points in a 91-80 Sunset Six League victory over Verdugo Hills. He made 15 of 41 shots, including eight three-point baskets, and was 20 for 26 from the free-throw line. He had 12 of the final 20 points after Verdugo Hills cut a 46-30 halftime deficit to 71-70 with five minutes to go.
* Tyre Thompson, Compton Centennial: Finished with 30 points, including all of his No. 15-ranked team’s 17 points in the fourth quarter, and made winning three-pointer with 2.5 seconds left in a 52-51 Pioneer League win over Torrance.
* Cameron Granville, Los Angeles Dorsey: Scored game-high 22 points as the No. 12 Dons scored an 84-78 Coliseum League victory over rival L.A. Crenshaw.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
* Jessie Thompson, Temecula Valley: Senior guard led the No. 13 Golden Bears with 30 points, including 17-for-20 shooting from the free-throw line, in a 61-51 victory over Moreno Valley Rancho Verde in a Southwestern League game.
* Zajve Wood, Long Beach Poly: With starters on Southland’s No. 1 team struggling, sophomore point guard came off the bench and scored a team-high 11 points in 53-37 victory over Moore League rival Long Beach Millikan, which trailed at halftime, 21-19.

BOYS’ SOCCER
* Brian Butorac, Mission Viejo Trabuco Hills: Headed decisive goal in 75th minute as Mustangs, No. 8 in Division I, scored a 2-1 South Coast League victory over Dana Point Dana Hills.
* Ian Ebert, Irvine Woodbridge: Scored twice as Warriors upset No. 10 team in Division II, Santa Ana Foothill, 2-0, in a Sea View League match.
