Disabled Boy’s Stolen Tricycle to Be Replaced
A 13-year-old boy whose modified tricycle was stolen from his front porch will receive a new bike next month from a nonprofit organization, officials said.
The Marino Foundation, based in Rancho Cucamonga, is expected to replace the $1,200 tricycle stolen from Derek Meza, who is partially paralyzed on his left side as the result of a car accident.
The bike -- which Derek depended on to get around -- was stolen from his Santa Ana home between April 23 and May 14. No one has been arrested in the incident, police said.
