Woman in Crosswalk Is Fatally Hit by MTA Bus

A 38-year-old woman was struck and killed downtown by a bus Saturday night, police said.
The westbound Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus struck the unidentified woman about 7:10 p.m. as she entered the crosswalk at 5th and Los Angeles streets, said Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department. Officers are investigating the accident, he said.
