Man, 21, shot dead at party
A party turned violent Sunday morning, leaving one person dead and another fleeing authorities, sheriff’s officials said.
Two men got into an argument about 12:45 a.m. in the 500 block of South Gerhart Avenue, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Derrick Thompson.
One of the men pulled a handgun and shot the other in the head, he said. Officials with the county coroner’s office identified the deceased as 21-year-old Michael Rodriguez.
