Two arrested in officer stabbing
Two people have been charged with trying to kill an off-duty Los Angeles police officer outside a bar.
Kareem Valdez and Abel Ulloa Jr. are charged with attempted murder stemming from a brawl Friday night in San Pedro.
The suspects are accused of stabbing the officer in the abdomen and fleeing the scene.
The officer, whose name has not been released, was hospitalized in stable condition.
Police say the officer was stabbed after coming outside the bar during a struggle between the suspects and bar security. Each suspect is being held on $1-million bail.
