Authorities are looking for a man in connection with the shooting death of his wife and the injury of one of their children, Los Angeles police said Saturday.

Xiomara Lopez, 36, got into an argument with her husband at a home on Kenwood Avenue in the West Adams district of Los Angeles shortly before noon Friday.

Police say the husband, Carlos Anibal Lopez, also 36, picked up a handgun and fired several rounds, striking his wife.
