SAG Awards 2014: Hair inspired by Brigitte Bardot
Several stars on the Screen Actors Guild 2014 red carpet are sporting a voluminous Brigitte Bardot-inspired bump in their hair -- a nod to the 1960s and feminine style.
Michelle Dockery, Hannah Simone and Kerry Washington all have a lot of height at the crown of their heads, which acts almost like a quirky accent to their effortless up-dos.
Dockery rarely wears her chin-length tresses pinned up, but her part chignon, part ponytail nicely complements her color-blocked J Mendel gown.
Simone is going full-on ‘60s in a floral appliqué halter neck gown, full lashes and an inflated-in-a-good-way up-do.
Washington’s hair is pulled back in a sleek bun, punctuated by a simple black band near the hairline. Without the height at the crown of her head, her hairstyle would look much more ballerina than Bardot. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
