Nadir Khayat, the Moroccan-born producer/songwriter better known as RedOne, has spent the last few years blanketing the airwaves with indelible tracks for Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, Kelly Rowland and Pitbull.

Now the Grammy-winning hitmaker is partnering with Cash Money Records to develop new sounds. Khayat is joining the home of Lil Wayne,Drake and Nicki Minaj and bringing along his own imprint, 2101 (which, like Cash Money, is distributed through Universal Music).

“I have always been impressed with the way Slim and Baby do business. Their determination to build their artists’ careers from the ground to super-stardom shows their sheer commitment,” RedOne said in a statement, referring to Cash Money founders Ronald “Silm” Williams and Bryan “Baby” Williams.

“I have strived to work with the best in the industry throughout my career and this opportunity to partner my 2101 label with Cash Money on these projects is one such example,” the statement continued. “Together, we’ll be able to continue to help build global stars and make hit music that we hope fans around the world will enjoy.”

RedOne became a hotly in-demand hitmaker after his work with Gaga resulted in Grammy gold and millions in sales -- he’s behind some of her biggest hits, including “Poker Face,” “Just Dance,” “Alejandro” and “Bad Romance.”

Linking up with Cash Money isn’t much of a stretch: one of his 2101 signees, industrial-pop vixen Porcelain Black, is managed by Wayne’s Young Money Cash Money team and he has produced hits from Minaj’s latest album, including “Starships” and her new single, “Pound the Alarm.”

The partnership with Cash Money will see RedOne developing new acts including two fresh signings, Swedish-Congolese singer-songwriter Mohombi and L.A.-based pop group Talkback. RedOne will continue to produce for acts outside of the Cash Money / 2101 fold.

“We consider Cash Money a family, and RedOne fits right in,” Ronald “Slim” Williams said in a statement. “He is a world-class producer, songwriter, musician and now record executive who just adds to what we have built here, and we look forward to expanding in the years ahead.”
