Sam Trammell, Alan Cumming co-host Kiehl’s opening

“True Blood’s” Sam Trammell and “The Good Wife’s” Alan Cumming are slated to co-host Kiehl’s Manhattan Village grand opening celebration benefiting Project Angel Food on Friday. The skin care company and the two actors are pledging 1% of all 2012 purchases from the store will go to Project Angel Food, which supports families affected by AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. The celebration is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a check presentation to the charity at approximately 11:45 p.m. The first 50 guests arriving after 11 a.m. will receive complimentary body lotion and lip balm. The new store is located near the center court at Manhattan Village, 3200 Sepulveda Ave., Manhattan Beach.

EVENTS

The Hester Street Fair, a curated sales event that started in New York City, is coming to Hollywood on Saturday with an independent design market, offering clothing, jewelry, toys, art, crafts and more from independent designers from around the world. The fair is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday on the lot at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Argyle Avenue.

Melissa Magsaysay, former style editor at the Los Angeles Times and West Coast editor at Women’s Wear Daily, is scheduled to sign copies of her new book, “City of Style: Exploring Los Angeles Fashion from Bohemian to Rock,” in the Park at the Grove at 7 p.m. Thursday. A complimentary screening of “The Devil Wears Prada” is to follow at 8 p.m. The shopping and entertainment complex is at 189 The Grove Dr., Los Angeles.
