Playboy Bunny goes charmingly White Trash

Even after years of mansion parties and a hit TV show in “The Girls Next Door,” Hugh Hefner is still finding new ways to grow his bunny brand. This time the iconic ears are getting a punky revamp from Los Feliz accessory maker White Trash Charms.

Brooke Dulien, the owner and designer, has created jewelry in sterling silver or gold vermeil for Playboy. The collection, priced from $40 to $150, will be available in early May at the White Trash Charms Boutique and Ron Herman. Dulien’s designs have the rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic she’s known for (she styles the Osbourne family as well as music videos for indie bands including the Silversun Pickups and She Wants Revenge).

Dulien plumped up the rabbit head into a three-dimensional realm with an ears pendant, a first. Other designs are done in typically edgy White Trash Charms fashion, such as a gold playmate bow-tie pendant or White Trash’s signature lightning bolt embossed with the Playboy logo. There’s even a pendant of a mud-flap girl, but this time she’s got, you guessed it, bunny ears.

Hef may not be getting any younger, but he’s still keeping up with the kids.
