Upland corruption case: An article in the March 14 LATExtra section about a federal investigation into allegations of government corruption in Upland stated that the FBI also had subpoenaed financial records from the city of Victorville. Victorville Deputy City Manager Doug Robertson said the city did not receive a subpoena from the FBI. In August, the city received a letter of inquiry from the Securities and Exchange Commission for city financial records related to use of bond money, Robertson said.
