About 1,000 customers without power in Santa Monica
About 1,000 customers were without lights in Santa Monica on Wednesday night in the second power outage in the city in as many nights, officials said.
Southern California Edison said the cause of the outage was not immediately known and that crews were responding to the city.
The blackout appeared to be tied to transformer problem in the 100 block of Fraser Avenue, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
On Tuesday, 5,800 people were without power for several hours after downed power lines were reported near 7th and Marine streets.
