Crime alerts for Brentwood, Koreatown and 13 other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 15 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Eleven neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Brentwood (A) was the most unusual, recording three reports compared with a weekly average of 0.4 over the last three months.

Koreatown (L) topped the list of four neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 48 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 34.5 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for May 27 to June 2, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
