Five adults were bound and blindfolded during a robbery in an Arcadia home Thursday night, officials said.

The Arcadia Police Department believes five robbers invaded a residence on the 500 block of east Norman Avenue, taking items that included passports, laptops and jewelry.

Only two adults were home when the robbers arrived, and the thieves fastened the adults’ hands behind their backs, said Sgt. Kollin Cieadlo.

The three other adults arrived while the robbery was still occurring and were also restrained, officials said.

Cieadlo could not confirm whether all five were residents of the home.

Two male adults were struck by the robbers and received minor injuries, but neither was transported to a hospital, officials said.

The incident remains under investigation.
