Crime alerts for Mid-Wilshire and 15 other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 16 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Eleven neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Mid-Wilshire (A) was the most unusual, recording 10 reports compared with a weekly average of 2.6 over the last three months.

Beverly Grove (L) topped the list of five neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 37 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 19.2 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for April 24–April 30, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
