6-year-old boy finds family slain inside their Stockton home

A 6-year-old discovered family members slain inside their Stockton home late Friday, police said.

San Joaquin County sheriff’s detectives told Fox 40 two men entered the home on South Laurel Street and opened fire.

Three members of a family was found dead at the scene. Two others were  wounded. Neighbors say they are in stable condition.

Neighbors say that boy ran outside knocking on doors until someone came out to help him.

The Stockton Record reported that the boy was taken into protective custody and that detectives were still trying to determine a motive for the slayings.
