Man sought in alleged sexual assault of girl, 10, in Palmdale diner
Authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating a man suspected of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl inside the restroom of a Denny’s in Palmdale.
The alleged assault occurred on New Year’s Day at a Denny’s diner in the 37000 block of 47th Street East, according to L.A. County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brian Hudson.
Hudson said the incident took place inside the women’s restroom at the restaurant. He said the young girl was leaving one of the stalls when the man, who may be homeless, allegedly assaulted her. The man stopped and fled the restaurant when another person entered the restroom.
The suspected was described as a white male, 18 to 20 years old, 5-feet-8 inches tall and 150 pounds. He has blond hair and walks with a noticeable limp, authorities said. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt and dark shorts.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the sheriff’s Special Victim Bureau at (877) 710-5273. Anonymous tips can be made at (800) 222-8477.
