Letters: What a driver’s license means
Re “Proposed driver’s license for immigrants draws fire,” Feb. 23
The Latin American Coalition in Charlotte, N.C., claims the proposed driver’s license to be issued to illegal immigrants would create a “class of ‘inferior’ citizens.”
Clearly, that is not the case because the people receiving the license are not citizens. Deferring legal action against someone in this country illegally does not make that person a citizen. It merely makes them un-deportable.
