Fountain Valley police arrested a suspect in two home burglaries Saturday after they found her sleeping in a car that was reported stolen, according to the Police Department.

Authorities allege that 25-year-old Vanessa Montes of Santa Ana burglarized two homes near Mount Hope Street and Warner Avenue in Fountain Valley early Saturday while residents were asleep inside.

Police tracked Montes to a shopping center at Trask Avenue and Fairview Street in Santa Ana, authorities said.

“Montes was found sleeping in the driver’s seat of a reported stolen vehicle from the city of Garden Grove,” Fountain Valley police wrote on their Facebook page.

Police said they also found property stolen from the two homes with Montes.

Officers arrested her on suspicion of residential burglary, vehicle theft, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Montes was under supervised release from jail at the time, police said. She also had outstanding warrants on theft and drug charges, according to authorities.

Officials booked her into Orange County Jail, where she is being held without bail.
