Football: St. Augustine moves closer to Division II bowl berth
St. Augustine won the San Diego Division II championship game on Monday, defeating Mission Bay, 49-0.
That means St. Augustine will likely get a Division II regional bowl berth if Gardena Serra wins on Friday and is chosen for the Open Division.
The winner of the Northern Division final between Valencia and Hart also should get selected and face St. Augustine or Chaminade if the Eagles upset Serra.
