Baseball: Palomino World Series begins Thursday in Compton
The Palomino World Series for 19U teams will begin Thursday at the Urban Youth Academy in Compton.
Arroyo Seco, made up of players from Loyola, Notre Dame, Crespi, Crescenta Valley, St. Francis, Serra and Glendale College, will take on Jakarta, Indonesia at noon.
Among the players are JJ Muno from Notre Dame, Brandon Caruso and Corey Demptster from Loyola, Andy Frakes from Crespi, Chris DeVito from Chatsworth and Ryan Dobson from Serra.
Caruso had two hits, including a home run, to help the team advance to the World Series.
