Football: Gardena Serra wins in double overtime, 20-13 [Video]

After dropping a wide-open pass for a possible game-winning touchdown in the first overtime, Adoree’ Jackson caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from Jalen Greene in the second overtime to help Gardena Serra defeat Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, 20-13.

Notre Dame’s defense played tremendous football for most of the game. The Knights were clinging to a 6-0 lead but also missed two field goals in regulation. Greene scored to tie the game, 6-6, in the fourth quarter.

Alemany knocked off Narbonne, 42-14. It was 14-14 at halftime before the Warriors ran off a barrage of four touchdowns in the third quarter. Okalani Taufahema-Langi scored four touchdowns, including a 92-yard interception return. Alif Grayes completed 13 of 16 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns.

Johnell Jackson rushed for 179 yards in 25 carries and scofed two touchdowns for Narbonne.

Rancho Cucamonga upset Bishop Amat, 32-29.

San Fernando stayed unbeaten with a 47-19 victory over Sun Valley Poly. Cristian Solano passed for six touchdowns and scored another. Sylmar set a school record for points in an 83-42 win over Verdugo Hills. Sophomore Clarence Williams passed for 345 yards and seven touchdowns. He also scored a touchdowns.

Oaks Christian defeated Venice, 49-39. Jeremy Vincent had two interceptions and a touchdown reception. Brandon Dawkins passed for 401 yards and four touchdowns. Chris Davis caught 11 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns. Alexander Diamont of Venice passed for 334 yards and five touchdowns.

Servite contines to impress and routed La Mirada, 38-14. Nick Robinson threw five touchdown passes in JSerra’s 49-31 win over Huntington Beach.
