Baseball: UCLA signee Mickey Moniak of La Costa Canyon is Gatorade state player of the year
Hard-hitting outfielder Mickey Moniak of La Costa Canyon has been selected the Gatorade state player of the year in baseball.
Moniak is a UCLA signee who is expected to be one of the top picks in next month’s amateur draft.
He is batting .471 with six home runs.
