Football: Oaks Christian has two freshman standouts

Share

Freshmen have started to arrive on high school campuses to work out with football teams, and Oaks Christian has a duo that should be heard from over the next four seasons.

Quarterback Matt Corral arrived on Monday. He’s expected to be given the opportunity to compete for the starting job and will make his debut in the Saugus seven on seven passing tournament on June 28. He’ll have to beat out junior Holden Thomas and senior Brandon Perdue, who have been competing for the starting job.

Also arriving is 6-foot-3, 250-pound freshman Dallas Holliday, the younger brother of former Oaks Christian standout Blair Holliday. His size alone should make Lions coaches take notice.
