Girls’ basketball: Kennedy Burke, Katie Lou Samuelson make USA U17 national team
UCLA-bound Kennedy Burke of Chatsworth Sierra Canyon was named on Monday to the 12-member roster for the USA Basketball Women’s U17 World Championship Team.
Burke, who will be a senior at Sierra Canyon this fall, will be joined by Mater Dei’s Katie Lou Samuelson, a Connecticut commit.
The team will participate in training June 12-17 before departing on June 18 for an exhibition tournament in France, then will travel to the Czech Republic for the FIBA U17 World Championships June 28-July 6.
