Track: Adoree’ Jackson to seek injunction to compete at Masters Meet

Share

Standout Gardena Serra High long jumper Adoree’ Jackson, disqualified from the event two weeks ago at the Southern Section prelims after his coach showed him a cellphone video during the competition, will seek an injunction in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday morning that would allow him to compete at the Masters Meet on Friday night at Cerritos College.

According to a complaint filed by attorney Loyst P. Fletcher, Jackson is claiming the Southern Section wrongly disqualified him and that his constitutional rights have been violated.

An attorney representing the Southern Section will be flying in from Sacramento for the hearing before a Superior Court judge.

The USC-bound Jackson is fighting the case on his own. Serra High is not involved after writing a letter to Southern Section Commissioner Rob Wigod seeking a reversal. The appeal was rejected.
