Williams sisters advance to Wimbledon doubles final
Serena Williams, who will play Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland on Saturday in the Wimbledon women’s singles final, advanced to the doubles final as well.
Serena and her sister Venus, who lost in the first round of singles, upset top-seeded and fellow Americans, Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 Friday in a women’s doubles semifinals match.
The Williams sisters have won four Wimbledon doubles titles, the last in 2009. Venus, 32, announced at the 2011 U.S. Open that she is suffering from Sjogren’s syndrome, an autoimmune disease that can be energy-sapping.
