Live discussion: Previewing Kings-Sharks, looking back on Ducks
Join Times Kings writer Lisa Dillman and hockey Hall of Famer Helene Elliott today at 2 p.m. as they discuss the Kings and Ducks.
The Kings have advanced to the second round of the NHL playoffs, where they will face the San Jose Sharks.
“We’ll be ready,” Coach Darryl Sutter said when asked his concerns about facing the Sharks. “Both teams have had two or three days off. They’ve had a couple of injuries. We have. So I’m just more anxious to get playing, more than concerned.”
The Ducks’ season came to an inglorious end with a Game 7 loss to Detroit on Sunday, ending the chance for the Ducks and Kings to play each other in the second round.
“We’re human, so we’re going to think back to things we could’ve done differently in some of these games. Proud of our team; not many people expected things from us this year and we showed we can play with the best. We’ll take the experience of this loss and try to be better next year.” — defenseman Cam Fowler said after the loss.
You will be able to ask questions of Dillman and Elliott during the chat, so be sure to join us on this blog post at 2 p.m.
