Robert Sacre is tall, gets free dinner at BierBeisl restaurant

On Monday night Lakers center Robert Sacre received a free dinner at Beverly Hills authentic Austrian restaurant BierBeisl.

Sacre, who stands an even 7 feet tall, took advantage of his stature. BierBeisl’s chef/owner Bernhard Mairinger is running a promotion in June where anyone taller than the 6-7 Mairinger dines for free.

The restaurant expects to have former Laker John Salley later in the month, along with other “NBA greats.”

Sacre will hit free agency in July. If the Lakers make an expected qualifying of $988,872, Sacre will be a restricted free agent.

The Gonzaga product wasn’t part of the team’s regular rotation but was a dedicated practice player and a positive influence in the locker room with an infectious, positive attitude.

BierBeisl promises a free meal to any man or woman with the requisite height, although they will be measured without shoes to qualify (the rules will be applied more leniently to women).
