Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets improve to 4-0

Marc Gasol scored 16 points, Zach Randolph had 15 and Tayshaun Prince added 14 as the Memphis Grizzlies extended their home winning streak to a franchise-record 16 consecutive games with a 93-81 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night.

Randolph and Gasol each had 11 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who are off to a franchise-best 4-0 start. Tony Allen also had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Tyreke Evans scored 21 points for the Pelicans (1-2), who shot only 34% from the field.

Houston 104, at Philadelphia 93: James Harden had 35 points and nine rebounds and Dwight Howard added 11 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks to help the Rockets improve to 4-0. Harden made his first 17 free throws and Trevor Ariza hit six three-pointers and scored 24 points for Houston, which shot 16 for 34 from three-point range and dominated the boards, 47-31. The 76ers are 0-4.

at Brooklyn 116, Oklahoma City 85: Brook Lopez scored 18 points in his first regular-season game in about 11 months, and the Nets routed the injury-depleted Thunder in their home opener. Oklahoma City, already without Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, lost another player to injury, starting guard Andre Roberson, who sprained his left foot. Reggie Jackson, who’d been sidelined by an ankle sprain, scored 23 points in his season debut for the Thunder.

Sacramento 110, at Denver 105: Darren Collison scored 21 points, including three free throws in the final 16.2 seconds, and the Kings followed up Sunday’s win over the Clippers at Staples Center with a victory that gave them their first 3-1 start since the 2010-11 season.

at Dallas 118, Boston 113: Chandler Parsons scored 29 points, including a key three-pointer that helped the Mavericks hang on after blowing all but one point of a 31-point second-quarter lead. The Celtics’ Avery Bradley had a chance to tie the score with three free throws with 39 seconds left and Dallas ahead 114-111, but he missed the second one.
