President Trump to NFL players: ‘Be happy, be cool’ and stand for the national anthem

President Trump continued his criticism of NFL players who kneel during the national anthem with a series of tweets Friday morning.

Actually, most of the money doesn’t go to players, as players are capped at 48.5% of revenue.

The NFL preseason schedule began Thursday, with several players taking a knee or raising a fist while the national anthem was played.

The NFL said it won’t punish the players who protested during the anthem Thursday and are negotiating an agreement with the NFL Players Assn. on how to handle the situation.
