Fact of the day: Eight of the 25 most-penalized teams in college football are in the Pac-12 Conference. USC ranks 119 of 125 teams, with 8.58 penalties per game.

USC defeated Notre Dame, 49-14, in the regular-season finale on Saturday at the Coliseum.

The Trojans improved to 8-4 overall and 6-3 in the Pac-12 Conference.

Notre Dame fell to 7-5.

USC now waits to learn which bowl will invite it.
