Beverly Hills: Cool cars are the key to this Maison 140 room deal
Maison 140 in Beverly Hills has an unbeatable offer for those in love with vintage cars: Stay at the hotel and receive two tickets to the Concours d’Elegance at the Greystone Mansion on May 6 and a free shave at a nearby “barber spa.” Take advantage of the extras, and the room is a freebie.
The deal: The Royal Treatment package includes a night at the hotel, two tickets to the Concours d’Elegance vintage car show and a free shave at Art of Shaving Barber Spa in Beverly Hills that’s good until June. Prices for the package start at $250 a night plus tax.
The 125 cars on display at the show include a 1932 Alfa Romeo Spyder, a 1939 Bugatti Coupe and others by Ferrari, Porsche, Rolls Royce and Bentley. Lectures and awards are part of the events from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
When: The offer must be booked by Sunday for stays of May 4-7.
Tested: The savings here are all about using the extras. I found availability for a Parisian King room with Wi-Fi and Champagne upon arrival for $270 plus tax on the night of May 5. (The car show is the next day.) Concours d’Elegance tickets cost $108 (in advance) to $133 each, and the Royal Shave costs $55, which comes to $271 -- or the cost of the room.
