Exes Courteney Cox and David Arquette put trophy home on the market
Courteney Cox and her ex-husband, David Arquette, have put their Beverly Hills home in the Multiple Listing Service at $19.5 million.
The pristine property, designed by modernist architect A. Quincy Jones and built in 1959, was renovated during their ownership. The museum-like trophy home sits on nearly an acre in the Trousdale Estates area. Features include a center hall, an updated kitchen, a den/office, five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. An expansive lawn abuts the circular swimming pool, which has an adjoining fountain and unobstructed city views.
Cox, 49, has starred in “Cougar Town” since 2009 and starred on “Friends” from 1994 to 2004. Actor-director-screenwriter Arquette, 42, is an executive producer on “Cougar Town.”
They bought the home in 2004 for $5.45 million.

‘ER’ star’s home proved a hit
Actor Eriq La Salle has sold a classy-looking home in the Beverly Crest area for an undisclosed amount. The last listing price was $6.495 million.
The Tuscan villa-inspired house, remodeled in 2006, has panoramic skyline views and sits on close to half an acre with a swimming pool, spa and guesthouse. The 6,000 square feet of living space features wood-beam ceilings, a copper fireplace, a temperature-controlled wine cellar, a weight room, floor-to-ceiling retractable glass walls, four bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms.
There’s also a 400-square-foot roof deck with an outdoor shower and a hot tub.
La Salle, 51, has a host of acting credits, plus a few for directing and producing. He was on “ER” (1994-2009) when he bought the property in 1996. More recently he has been in the series “A Gifted Man” and “Blackout.”

TV host bows out of Beverly Hills
Television host Leeza Gibbons and her husband, Steven Fenton, have parted with a gated estate in Beverly Hills for $6.9 million.
Built in 2007, the two-story Mediterranean features a screening room, a study/office, a gym, six bedrooms, five bathrooms and 6,333 square feet of living space. The nearly half-acre lot includes an outdoor living room, outdoor kitchen and a swimming pool with a spa.
Gibbons, 56, won a Daytime Emmy this year for hosting “My Generation.” She hosts the news magazine show “America Now” and is the author of “Take 2.”
The property was purchased in 2010 for $6.6 million and, according to the MLS, had been rented out.

Screenwriter lists Modernist showcase
Academy Award-winning screenwriter Tom Schulman has put his Brentwood home on the market for $15 million.
Designed by architect Steven Ehrlich, the Modernist house features a two-story living room, two offices, a game room, a media room, a library, five bedrooms and seven bathrooms in 9,000 square feet.
Set on 1.35 acres at the end of a bamboo-lined driveway, the house is accessed by an entry bridge.
Schulman, also a director and producer, won his Oscar for writing “Dead Poets Society” (1989). Other writing credits include “Welcome to Mooseport” (2004) and “8 Heads in a Duffle Bag” (1997).

Conductor buys in Carpinteria
Pasadena Pops conductor Michael Feinstein and his partner, Terrence Flannery, have bought a retreat in Carpinteria for $3.7 million.
Set on 27 acres with panoramic ocean and coastline views, the contemporary estate was remodeled in 2012 and includes about 4,000 square feet of living space. Among features are floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, a library, four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. There are vegetable gardens, a fruit orchard and a swimming pool. About five acres is devoted to growing avocados.
Feinstein, 56, is a singer and pianist devoted to the popular and influential songs of 20th century America. He started with the Pasadena Pops this summer and is under contract through 2016.

Actor parts with wooded compound
Actor-director Mario Van Peebles has sold his wooded compound in the Hollywood Hills for $1.225 million.
The nearly half-acre rustic retreat includes an early-1960s main house, patio space and a guesthouse. Custom details include stairway handrails made from recycled metals, a double wooden entry door, mosaic tile accents, a glass ceiling in the master bathroom and an outdoor brick barbecue. There are four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a fireplace and 4,255 square feet of living space.
Van Peebles, 56, was a director on the series “Boss” in 2011 and last year. His scores of acting credits include stints on “All My Children” (2008) and “Damages” (2007-09) and portraying Malcolm X in the film “Ali” (2001). He will star in “Blood on the Border,” set for October release.
When Van Peebles bought the property in 1989 for $875,000 it was his first L.A. home. He owns another house locally and parted with this one because his children are now grown.
