Faces to watch in 2013: picks for art, theater and more

Who will make cultural headlines in Los Angeles in 2013? The coming year will no doubt bring its share of surprises. But there are already some names that are likely to garner attention in the fields of art, architecture, classical music, dance and theater.

The arts staff has selected a total of 14 names ranging from up-and-coming artists to well-established masters. Some of our choices aren’t people at all, but rather organizations, trends or objects of art. In all cases, they represent something exciting or potentially newsworthy for 2013.
