Share

The 67th annual Tony Awards ceremony will be broadcast Sunday at 8 p.m. on CBS. That’s the same on both coasts, with the show airing live on the East Coast and three hours later on the West Coast.

This year’s Broadway season featured big musical blockbusters (“Matilda,” “Kinky Boots”), critically acclaimed playwrights (Richard Greenberg, Chistopher Durang) and a handful of celebrities (Tom Hanks, Sigourney Weaver, Scarlett Johansson).

Boxing champion Mike Tyson will also put in appearance at Sunday’s ceremony. The former athlete brought his one-man show to Broadway this season, but he didn’t receive a nomination.

Andrew Lloyd Webber and director Hal Prince will be part of a tribute to “The Phantom of the Opera,” which is celebrating its 25th anniversary on Broadway this year.
