Jennifer Lawrence, Kristen Stewart toast at Toronto film fest

In the wake of the MTV Video Music Awards and Friday’s celeb-heavy Stand Up to Cancer telethon, stars have absconded from Los Angeles, and the U.S. all together, in favor of the Toronto International Film Festival.

Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Katniss Everdeen in “The Hunger Games” franchise, trotted out her David O. Russell dramedy “Silver Linings Playbook” on Saturday alongside leading man Bradley Cooper.

Following a red carpet photo call and screening, Soho House Toronto hosted cast and filmmakers for a reception. Cooper, Chris Tucker and film honcho Harvey Weinstein mingled with the likes of Lawrence’s “Hunger Games” family member Woody Harrelson.

Not to mention Jennifer’s actual family -- the actress’ parents Gary and Karen joined the Grey Goose-hosted soiree as her dates for the evening. A full guest list did not deter the star from extending another invite: to embattled “On The Road” actress Kristen Stewart.

The women hit it off after meeting at the festival, according to Us Weekly, and word around the members-only spot said Lawrence invited Stewart personally to hang out.

Kristen kept it casual in sneakers and eyeglasses, sitting close to Lawrence and “Perks of Being a Wallflower” star Emma Watson as the “Silver Linings” party rolled into a late-night VIP scene.

So VIP, in fact, that U2 frontman Bono made a cameo, in his signature shades and a black cowboy hat.
