SHOWBIZ 7’S: Joan Rivers’ favorite red carpet moments

Frankly, I was a little apprehensive about speaking with Joan Rivers. I worried she’d talk really loud and fast and nonstop and make a ton of jokes that were weird or just in bad taste. But boy was I wrong! On the phone Rivers was charming and funny and fabulous, kind of like a rich friend’s grandmother who serves the young’uns old-fashioned cocktails and tells great stories about her glamorous life. I could have talked to her all day.

The topic of conversation was Rivers’ She’d like you to know that this is off the cuff and in no particular order. She also doesn’t remember dates. “I’ve done 11 Oscars,” she says. “After a while they all blend.”
