“The Revenant” had a happy Valentine’s Day. A few hours after the stark action-drama dominated the BAFTA Awards on Sunday evening in London, cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki won the 30th American Society of Cinematographers Award for outstanding achievement in a feature film.

The award, announced in Los Angeles, is Lubezki’s third consecutive ASC award. He won last year for “Birdman” and two years ago for “Gravity.”

Lubezki is not only the first to win the ASC feature film award three times in a row, but also the the first to win the award five times total. Lubezki also won for 2011’s “The Tree of Life,” 2006’s “Children of Men” and 1999’s “Sleepy Hollow.” The win for “The Revenant” followed the film’s five victories at the BAFTAs, including film, cinematography, sound, actor (Leonardo DiCaprio) and director (Alejandro G.
