Rapper Fetty Wap has assured fans he’s OK after being hospitalized over the weekend following a motorcycle accident in which the New Jersey rhymer says he broke his leg in three places.

“I appreciate all my fans praying for me, man,” Wap, 25, said via an Instagram post. “I had a little accident, but I’m straight. I mean, I broke my leg in three places, but I’ll be alright. I really appreciate you all for real.”

He posted a closeup photo of his face, appearing to be semi-conscious, with another message saying “Appreciate Ya so much for the prayers … they told me don’t make a video but I’m still breathing so I gotta let ya no I’ll be back.”

Following the incident on Saturday in his hometown of Paterson, N.J., his record label, RGF/300 Entertainment, released a statement saying “Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle incident earlier today. He was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition. His family wants to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support. They ask that you respect their privacy during this time. We will provide an update on his condition as it becomes available.”

Paterson Police Director Jerry Speziale said Wap, whose given name is Willie Maxwell, was issued three summonses following the accident, including one for driving without a license. He said the rapper was thrown from his motorcycle Saturday afternoon after hitting another vehicle while making a left turn.

The other citations were for driving without insurance and failing to produce a vehicle registration card.

The woman driving the vehicle he hit was injured and also treated at a local hospital.

Wap’s debut album, “Fetty Wap,” was released on Friday. He had been scheduled to perform at the Forum in Inglewood on Nov. 8 but it has not been announced whether that show and others on his tour will be postponed.
