Cher to make live-TV comeback on ‘The Voice’ season finale

The fourth season finale of “The Voice” will have a little something special for viewers when it airs next week: Cher is scheduled to make her live-TV performing comeback.

Cher hasn’t been hiding in a cave for the last 10 years -- she starred in the movie “Burlesque” in 2010 and executive produced and starred in the Lifetime documentary about her mother, “Dear Mom, Love Cher” in May -- but she hasn’t sung live on TV since her 2003 NBC special “Cher: The Farewell Tour.”

She’s expected to perform “Women’s World,” the first single off her upcoming new album of the same name that is set to be released Sept. 24.

Cher’s last studio album, “Living Proof” was released in 2001. It was followed by the record-breaking 326-date “Farewell” tour, which lasted from 2002 until 2004 and was one of the highest-grossing tours of all time.

Cher’s comeback TV appearance will probably cause a few viewers to forget any hard feelings they may have against the show after coach Adam Levine was caught on a hot mic on a recent episode saying, “I hate this country,” after seeing that two of his team members has not been saved by public voting.

The season finale airs June 18.
