Chris Rock calls the BET Awards 'a party where nothing is off limits.' He's hosting the June 29 show.

He's hosted the Oscars and twice hosted the MTV Video Music Awards. Now Chris Rock is about to bring his talent to the BET Awards.

Rock will host the BET Awards on June 29. The ceremony will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live.

"I watch the BET Awards every year," the actor-comedian said in a statement. "It's one of my favorite awards shows, combining people from movies, sports, TV and music. Where else can you get Rick Ross and Michelle Obama in the same room? The BET Awards is like a party where nothing is off limits. My peers have done the show, now it's my turn."

The awards show is part of the BET Experience, a live music festival being held June 27 to June 29 at L.A. Live.
