Hated Episode 3! Love Episode 3! Too much Dana! Not enough Brody! And how many times per "Homeland" episode is Carrie contracted to cry?

Almost midway through its third season, Showtime's super-twisty spy thriller "Homeland" continues to court conversation and controversy. With its two leads — Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) and Nicholas Brody (Damien Lewis) — separated by half a continent and a welter of plotlines, "Homeland" still imspires the kind of passion that keeps viewers parsing every episode and critics constantly scanning the horizon for that tell-tale shark fin.

Is it still among the best shows on television, or has it become an Advanced Placement "Scandal" for the poly-sci set?
