Poor Miley Cyrus. Apparently, she’s been kicked off the cover of December Vogue.

Unless you’ve been, say, trekking for several weeks in Bhutan, you undoubtedly recall her rather infamous performance at the recent MTV Video Music Awards. Her jam with Robin Thicke and that giant foam finger was rather ... lascivious.

At the time it seemed she wasn’t really worked up about the controversy. Ministry of Gossip columnist Christie D’Zurilla reported her as saying: “Me and Robin, the whole time, said, ‘You know we’re about to make history right now.’”

But it sounds as if Vogue editor Anna Wintour was making a little history herself. The New York Daily News is reporting that Wintour canceled an upcoming cover due to the controversial performance. The Daily Mail reported that Wintour had been eager to champion the 20-year-old “as a new fashion icon” but changed her mind “after witnessing the singer perform her overtly sexual routine in latex bra and knickers.”
