Spicy noodles, Thai crispy sweet and sour sausage and more Asian cravings

Asian food of any variety tends to hit every taste bud. The dishes that perfectly balance sweet, salty and tart with a mix of textures are hard to put down. Think Thai crispy pork with Chinese broccoli or a bowl of vermicelli with shrimp paste, charbroiled pork, crispy shallots and a fish sauce vinaigrette. During Monday morning’s #Weekendeats chat on Twitter, participants shared some Asian dishes they enjoyed over the weekend. Here are the highlights:

Brooks Walker shared a photo of a plate of his delightful pad kee mao spicy noodles with chicken at Thai Paradise in Folsom, Calif. A frosty glass of Singha beer is seen behind the plate, ready if the spice gets a little too hot.

Clarissa Wei, who recently shared highlights from 626 Night Market, shared a photo of homemade zongzi in preparation for the Dragon Boat Festival and a photo of lamb and pao mo (unleavened bread pieces) from Shaanxi Gourmet.

Twitter user @gabchabran tweeted a photo of his kung pau noodle bowl from Roy Choi’s spot, the newly opened Chego in Chinatown, and Tony Chen from the blog SinoSoul, shared a photo of his Thai crispy rice sour sausage salad at Tantawan in Rosemead that almost had our faces pressed up against the computer screen.
