Exclusive: Gwen Stefani’s first headlining show in 6 years set for Feb. 7

As she sang in “Hollaback Girl,” Gwen Stefani’s long-awaited solo comeback just got a bit more B-A-N-A-N-A-S.

As she is expected to announce on “The Today Show” on Tuesday morning, the No Doubt vocalist is planning her first full concert in six years next month. Set for Feb. 7 at the Orpheum, the show is part of the singer’s recently launched partnership with MasterCard.

Stefani’s deal, like Justin Timberlake’s before her, will reportedly include support of her upcoming album and tour, in addition to projects with No Doubt. Her first TV ad with the credit card company debuted last month.

The intimate show is part of the company’s “Priceless Surprises” campaign (Timberlake launched it in 2013), which will see her offering cardholders benefits such as concert tickets, golf experiences and a chance to spend the day with her.

More than eight years after her last solo album, “The Sweet Escape,” Stefani started teasing her long-awaited return to pop music early last year when she turned up during collaborator Pharrell Williams’ set at Coachella in April.

In October she dropped the bouncy, electro-reggae “Baby Don’t Lie” and followed it with her frenetic reunion with Williams, “Spark the Fire.”

“He had written this beat and he was all inspired by it,” said Stefani of her reunion with Williams after a recent screening for “Paddington” (the duo collaborated for the soundtrack). “He played it for me in the morning [before taping “The Voice”], so I said, ‘Tonight, after this, let’s work on it.’ And we did. We wrote ‘Spark the Fire.’”

“He’s always been such an amazing supporter of me,” she continued. “He feels inspired when we’re together. I just take it and run. It’s like I get to work with this guy? He’s awesome.”

Stefani’s as-yet-untitled album is expected to arrive early this year through Interscope, with Benny Blanco’s imprint Mad Love co-releasing the record.

The singer is also rumored to be simultaneously working on new material for a follow up to No Doubt’s 2012 album, “Push and Shove.”

Tickets to Stefani’s Orpheum show go on sale to MasterCard cardholders Wednesday at noon.
