Jennifer Lawrence nabs home once owned by Jessica Simpson

Actress Jennifer Lawrence of “The Hunger Games” films has bought a house in the 90210 ZIP Code for $8.225 million.

Among recent owners is singer and television personality Jessica Simpson, who handed it off a year ago for $6.4 million. More recent, however, is the seller, billionaire Sumner Redstone’s girlfriend Sydney Holland, according to researchers at Celebrity Address Aerial.

What a difference a year makes. Simpson had aspirations of selling the property near the $8-million mark when she listed in May 2013 but ending up selling to Holland for $6.4 million.

Described as French style in the Multiple Listing Service, the 5,500-square-foot house was built in 1991 and has high ceilings, an updated kitchen, an office, five bedrooms and six bathrooms. The front of the house has a stone and floral courtyard with a koi pond. The backyard contains lawn and a swimming pool.

Lawrence, 24, was in the sitcom “The Bill Engvall Show” from 2007 to 2009. She has been in the films “American Hustle” (2013), “Winter’s Bone” (2010) and “The Burning Plain” (2008). She won a lead actress Oscar for “Silver Linings Playbook” (2012).
